New Delhi, 19th January.  Thousands of Delhi BJP workers led by State President Sh. Satish Upadhyay braving cold winds today sat on a day long Dharna at Jantar Mantar in support of Municipal Leaders & Councillor’s Symbolic Fast demanding proper funds for the Municipal Corporations so that they can ensure proper civic services in Delhi.

All 3 Municipal Corporations Mayors Sh. Subash Arya, Sh. Harsh Malhotra, Sh. Ravinder Gupta, Leaders of the House Sh. Ashish Sood, Sh. Ram Narain Dubey, Sh. Yogendra Chandolia, Deputy Mayors Shri Kuldeep Singh Solanki, Smt. Asha Singh, Smt. Neelam Goyal, Standing Committee Chairpersons Sh. Radhe Shyam Sharma, Sh. Mohan Bhardwaj, Smt. Lata Gupta, Deputy Chairpersons of Standing Committee Smt. Dipti Joshi. Sh. Praveen Rajput and Sh. Virendra Babbar observed a day long symbolic Fast. Municipal Zonal Chairpersons, Councillors and Delhi BJP Office bearers also joined the Dharna.

Sh. Upadhyay & the 3 Mayors demanded that Delhi Government immediately release all pending funds as per 3rd DFC recommendations and implementation of 4th Delhi Finance Commission's recommendations.

BJP National Secretary Sh. R.P. Singh, Organisational General Secretary Shri Siddharthan, MP Sh. Ramesh Bidhuri, former Finance Minister Shri Jagdish Mukhi along with several former MLAs too sat with Municipal Councillors extending support to their demands for proper municipal funds.

Several Municipal Staff Associations representatives including All India Safai Mazdoor Congress, Shri Ashwaq Hussain from EDMC Staff Association, Shri Satender Nagar from EDMC Teachers Sangh, Shri Ajit Kalia from Delhi Nagar Nigam Workshop Karamchari Sangh, Safai Karamchari Leader Shri Sant Lal etc. extended support to Delhi BJP agitation and urged the Municipal Leaders to move a contempt application in Delhi High Court as Delhi Government is denying municipal funds despite court orders.

Municipal Association Leader like Shri Rajender sang a song….Tankha Dilwa Do Kejriwal Ji, Roti Rozi Ka Yahi Sahara….Jeena Hua Muhal Ji….Rajneeti Nahi Karo Samjho Zimmedari Ji….Nigmon Ko De Do Paisa Ji.

Workers raised slogans condemning Kejriwal regime for denying municipal funds and making citizens of Delhi suffer.

Addressing the Dharna Sh. Satish Upadhyay said it is tragic that in the national capital civic facilities are crippling due to lack of funds as the Delhi government is playing dirty politics. He said Delhi BJP would go all out to expose the farceness in the working of Kejriwal government and ensure Delhi gets proper civic services.

Sh. Upadhyay said today thousands of BJP workers are here at Jantar Mantar on Dharna to ensure proper civic services & salaries for starving municipal staff unlike the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal who sat here shamefully allowing his workers to cajole a Farmer to Suicide to gain political advantage.

Sh. Upadhyay said it is really sad that even after Delhi High Court orders Kejriwal government refuses to talk to the Municipal leaders and release pending funds of around 3000 crores as per 3rd Delhi Finance Commission itself for the 3 Municipal Corporations on account of Plan,  Non Plan, Municipal Reforms and Trifurcation Funds.

MP Sh. Ramesh Bidhuri said today Delhi is witnessing a regime of Natwarlal II who misused this Jantar Mantar for fooling citizens. His calls of Swaraj have turned out to be as farce as his claims of honesty. Champion of Swaraj is today trying to kill the Municipal Corporations, the basic foundation of Swaraj.

South DMC Mayor Sh. Subhash Arya one of the most veteran municipal councillors said in my 4 decades of career as public representative I have never seen a State government as biased towards municipal corporations & determined to fail the civic services as this Kejriwal government. He said municipal leaders are committed to take the fight for the right of citizens of Delhi to world class civic services straight into the Delhi government secretariat.

East DMC Mayor Sh. Harsh Malhotra challenged the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to come for an open debate at this Jantar Mantar Dias on municipal funds issue. He said Kejriwal government has not released even the basic seed money that was assured by Sheela government in 2012 at the time trifurcation.

North DMC Mayor Sh. Ravinder Gupta said that municipal councillors will leave no stone unturned to ensure proper civic services and staff salaries. He assured the agitating municipal staff that to ensure salaries for their families BJP will soon launch a Jail Bharo Andolan against Kejriwal regime if need be.

It is so terrible to read that government is so unwilling to help municipal services. I read a lot every day on https://rewardedessays.com/dissertation-thesis/thesis-writing-services, but I've never come across such a disturbing topic. It's sad that people need to suffer and starve themselves to get attention for things, that government should do without even thinking.
